about

I've started this project without knowing were it would bring me: recording sounds everyday as a way to chase emptiness from daily life. Then I traveled across the province of Quebec during the whole summer 2014, living in a tent, from Baie-Saint-Paul to Havre Saint-Pierre, passing by Tadoussac and Sept-Îles, meeting greet human beings, listening to their stories, doing hitch-hiking, seeing the wild and industrial side of my country taking place on the same time-space and discovering my own self in uncomfortable situations, confronting the unknown. All of these songs finally came to life after the tragic death of a long term friend, Gabriel Gendreau Martineau, in Osoyoos (BC), on the other extremity of Canada, and my distress following this particular event.

This album is dedicated to him.

The guitars among other things are recorded on the impulsion of the moment. I try not to repeat too much before I record myself to give it the authenticity of the original feeling, with the imperfections that makes it beautiful anyway.
Music is often recorded too clean, and dry.

Any questions or comments are welcome.
